Days, weeks, maybe months. Every day with only what you packed at the beginning. Such an expedition is a chore, but also a test of endurance. So Rab has carefully selected materials to bring the weight of this 50-litre pack down to under 1kg, while still managing to maintain an uncompromising support system, and after all, its durability is surprising at such a low weight too.
The credit for the low weight goes mainly to the Spectra® Ripstop fabric, which is not only tear-resistant but also UV-resistant, which is more than useful when moving at high altitudes. Then the folks at Rab added a form-fitting TRI-FLEX™ back panel and a contoured lumbar padding and supportive waist belt to distribute the pack's weight over the entire body. And thanks to a roll-up closure, the pack's volume can be reduced or increased depending on the amount of gear inside.
Spectra® fibers are 15 times stronger than steel for the same weight. Combined with Cordura, it creates an incredibly tear-resistant fabric.
TRI-FLEX™ is a lightweight and supportive support system that fits close to the back and delivers complete freedom of movement, even when carrying heavy loads.
