Jacket bags are one of the phenomena of our time. You can find them in almost every jacket you pick up in the store, especially down or otherwise insulated jackets.
RAB has noticed that many of its customers do not use the bags. And being a company with a huge clothing production, they surveyed their customers to see how things were going.
The results of the survey
Just under 80% of respondents said they don't use a bag for packing. Or they use it for something other than packing the jacket they purchased the bag with.
As a result, RAB will not equip insulated jackets with a packing bag from the 2024/2025 winter season.
The reason for this move is not only the "disinterest" of customers, but also the economic and environmental side of things. Rab will save 101,500 m2 of fabric (over 10 hectares) and 3,000 kilometres of cords and belts per year!
These are huge numbers and I once again admire how Rab thinks about its products and does not waste valuable resources.
