Honestly tailored backpacks with a capacity of 60 litres or more, which will serve you well on a long trek or in really demanding conditions. Expedition backpacks are designed for heavy loads, which is why manufacturers place great emphasis on durable materials, a quality back and ventilation system, padded shoulder straps, the lowest possible weight and a comfortable fit. Most often expedition backpacks are made of Cordura - lightweight, amazingly durable, strong and complete with a water-repellent finish, and there are practical loops for hiking poles and pockets.
