Equipment for cross-country, for walkers and sportsmen.
Days, weeks, maybe months. Traveling light. Every day, carrying only what you packed at the start. An expedition like this is all about minimizing weight, but it’s also a test of endurance. That’s why, at Rab, they carefully selected materials to bring the weight of this 40-liter backpack down to under 900 grams, while still managing to maintain an uncompromising carrying system—and, after all, its durability is surprising given such a low weight. This is primarily thanks to the Spectra® Ripstop fabric, which is resistant not only to tearing but also to UV radiation—a feature that’s more than welcome when moving at high altitudes.
The team at Rab then complemented the form-fitting TRI-FLEX™ back panel with a contoured lumbar pad and a supportive hip belt that distributes the backpack’s weight across the entire body. And thanks to the roll-top closure, the backpack’s volume can be adjusted to fit the amount of gear inside.
Spectra® fibers are 15 times stronger than steel for the same weight. Combined with Cordura, they create a fabric that is incredibly tear-resistant.
TRI-FLEX™ is a lightweight, supportive carrying system that fits snugly against the back and provides complete freedom of movement, even when carrying heavy loads.
