Instructions for Washing Clothing with a Membrane

1. First, clean the detergent dispenser (where you normally pour in liquid detergent or add powder). Then run 1–2 rinse cycles with an empty drum. This will remove any detergent residue from the washing machine that could damage the membrane.
   
   
2. Prepare your clothes for washing.
   • Empty all pockets.
   • Close all zippers, including Velcro fasteners.
   • Close the pockets.
     
3. Pour one of these products into the detergent dispenser
   • liquid laundry detergent,
   • pure liquid soap, 
   • or a special detergent for washing membrane materials.
4. If you also want to waterproof your clothes (which we recommend), pour the waterproofing solution into the fabric softener compartment.
   
   
5. Set the washing machine to the gentle cycle and a temperature of 30 °C.
   
   
6. After washing, let the washing machine spin the clothes at a low speed (400 rpm).
   
   
7. Hang the clothes on a drying rack or clothesline and let them air dry away from direct sunlight.
   
   
8. To activate the water-repellent treatment, place the garment in the dryer on a low heat setting for 20–30 minutes, but only if the care label permits it. If you don’t have a dryer, you can activate the treatment with an iron. Set the iron to medium heat and place a clean cotton towel or thin cloth between the iron and the clothing to prevent damage to the fabric.
