Rab Borealis Women's Softshell Vest

Like the jacket of the same name, the Rab Borealis vest is an absolute all-rounder for year-round outdoor use. The vest is appealing for its minimalist design, yet it lacks nothing. It features a zippered chest pocket for small items, a central YKK® VISLON® zipper with a chin guard, and a simple two-way drawcord at the hem. Elastic armholes ensure free arm movement, and we also really like the perfectly fitting collar.

The popular Rabácký softshell has been tried and tested in countless products in various weights. You’ll find it in our lineup, for example, in our bestsellers, the Torque pants and Ascendor Light, as well as in countless other Rab models.

The Borealis Hoody 2.0 has a specific weight of 130 g/m², which is neither too light nor too heavy—it’s just right. It’s a lightweight yet durable, recycled, stretchy softshell with excellent wind resistance and breathability. It wicks away moisture brilliantly and, on top of that, dries incredibly fast. A DWR finish is standard nowadays; in our case, it’s fluorocarbon-free. The jacket can withstand light rain or prolonged drizzle, but of course, it is not a waterproof jacket. However, as we mentioned above, even if it gets wet, you’ll be dry again in no time after the rain.
