Lightweight high boot covers. Strong and durable material around the ankle plus a lighter and breathable part around the calves. The latter is made up of waterproof double layer 70D ripstop nylon with a DWR finish. The ankle is protected by a thicker 200D nylon. There is no zipper on the front, only a wide Velcro closure along the entire length.l

Compared to the older version of the leg warmers, the seams and stitching have been reduced, but the basic details remain the same as before. There is a flexible heel that wraps around the shoe, or a hook on the front to attach to the laces. The hook points out wards, so there is no risk of damaging the surface of the shoe.

Major changes have been made to the construction of the strap under the shoe. The tightening of the strap is placed inside the boot and its length is corrected by Velcro. With the previous version, if the tightening was very tight, the excess rubber strap had to be trimmed or the rubber had to be allowed to flop around the shoe. This is no longer a risk with the current design.

The material of the strap itself is also stronger, which is now made of flexible and durable thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Finally, the elastic drawstring at the top of the boot is not to be missed, adapted, of course, for one-handed handling.

Despite their lightness, the sleeves are a reliable and durable helper wherever you need to protect yourself from rocks, mud, water or snow. It will be ideal for any summer and winter hikes or even cross-country skiing off groomed trails. They can definitely handle some glacier hiking too.
