The perfect waterproof jacket, not just as a backup jacket for runners. Also great for day hiking. The Rab Phantom 2.0 is one of the lightest waterproof membrane jackets in the world.
The Phantom 2.0 jacket is especially useful for runners, perfect for longer runs or as mandatory equipment for ultra races in the mountains. However, it also works very well for cyclists and regular hiking on shorter trips when you don't want to carry your heavy waterproof jacket and need to have something reliable in your pocket when it rains.
The jacket is made of 7D Pertex Shield 2.5L stretch fabric, which is currently the lightest material used in the outdoor market. Thanks to the stretch fabric, the volume when packed has been minimized, and the jacket does not restrict movement during active use. It is really easy to pack. The low weight of the material clearly indicates that the jacket is not suitable for longer treks and multi-day backpacking. However, it will certainly handle a light backpack with no problem.
The Pertex fabric used offers full protection against adverse weather conditions and has a water column of 20,000 mm and a vapor permeability of 20,000 g/m2/24 h. The jacket will be most appreciated by enthusiastic runners and ultralight hikers.
The jacket has a number of reflective elements - on the back and front, shoulders, sleeves, and hood. The hood has a drawstring and can be fastened over the head to create a gathered collar. This prevents the hood from flapping behind your head when skiing downhill.
