    Rab VR Summit Jacket

A unique winter piece developed for active movement in the mountains. The Rab VR Summit Jacket is a piece that is thin enough to be incorporated into a layering system. You can use it as a medium insulation layer, but also as a main outer layer.

In developing this jacket, Rab had it extensively tested by a number of mountaineering instructors throughout the year to achieve perfection.

The Rab VR Summit begins a new phase of multi-purpose jackets developed by Rab. The Vapour-Rise™ lining has been given a new look, its structure is more like a comfortable "fur" that is perfectly warm but also perfectly wicks away sweat. You'll appreciate this especially during active movement when you would normally take off one layer. The Rab VR Summit jacket will keep you warm and dry all day long.

    Materials and cut

The jacket is protected from the weather by the proven Pertex Quantum Air. It's windproof, highly breathable, packable and has a water-repellent DWR finish that copes well with light rain or snow.

The cut of the whole jacket is more sporty, so that it can be used to its full potential, especially during active movement in the mountains. However, it is a very versatile piece that you can also use for "casual wear" in the city from cooler autumn to early spring.

However, it will find its greatest use mainly in the mountains, there is a solid place for the VR Summit. Whether you're hiking, ski touring, climbing on the Tatra granite in winter or enjoying the snowy landscape on cross-country skis, the VR Summit will work perfectly everywhere.

Technically, the jacket has everything you need. You can easily keep your hands warm in the two side pockets, which are easy to get into even with a climbing harness or pack hip belt on. Keep your small items in the chest pocket. Mountaineers will appreciate the two-way main YKK zipper, which is covered by a flap on the inside and of course there is no shortage of chin protection.

The sleeves are a nice touch, with the Vapour-Rise™ inner lining turned inside out to make the jacket easier to put on. The sleeve cuffs have an elasticated gusset and a Velcro fastening. Again, an excellent solution to make it easier to put on and take off the jacket. The hood is fully insulated and is also helmet compatible. Even when used without a helmet, however, it is very adjustable. There is a Velcro fastening at the back and you can adjust the circumference with the integrated drawcord which cleverly does not interfere anywhere. You'll also be very pleased with the sturdy, mouldable visor. Of course, the bottom edge of the jacket can also be easily pulled down and thanks to the clever pull tabs, this is no problem even with gloves.
