Lots of extra little things you need to keep on handwithout having to take the pack off your back. So you'll find a pocket for your phone or GPS navigation on the shoulder strap. A pocket for deer tallow and tissues on the hip strap. And tuck your water bottles into the side stretch pockets.

There's a spot on the front of the pack universal stretch pocket - for a jacket, for example - and a rubber spider for other pieces of equipment.

Inside the pack, you can spread your load into two separate compartments and several internal zippered pockets. You clip your poles, or even your ice axe, into special loops on the front of the pack.
