Warmpeace Viking 600 sleeping bag

Thesleeping bag for figures up to 195 cm weighs 1,160 grams without cover, uses 660 grams of duck down for insulation and reliably insulates down to -9°C.

TheWarmpeace Viking 600 is made of lightweight Loft Nylon DWR+, which can repel water up to 1,250 mm water column. This tough and mechanically abrasion resistant material works great with the foam filling and allows it to loft sufficiently.

Theinside of the sleeping bag is made of Loft Nylon. The material is pleasant to the touch and allows for quick moisture transport. The black colour of the inside in the sun helps the moisture evaporate faster, even in cold temperatures. This sleeping bag is made in China.

Inside the sleeping bag is used high quality duck feathers that come from European farms. The feathers are of 90/10 quality, have a filling capacity of 600 cuin and are stored in AZâ chambers. The filling and assembly of the sleeping bag takes place in Germany under strict standards.

Thesleeping bag can absorb 198 grams of water. The entire sleeping bag allows a RET vapour permeability of 3.7^{m2 Pa/W-1}.

Thezipper of the sleeping bag is Japanese YKK branded and is backed by a stiff-line flap throughout the length so that the zipper does not tear. The slider team is reversible and allows fastening from both the inside and outside of the sleeping bag. The zipper is also reversible, so that in addition to the classic unzipping, you can also unzip it from the feet upwards to ventilate the overhead compartment.

Which sleeping bag to choose?

It's up to you whether you choose a zipper on your left or right hand. We recommend a left-handed zipper for right-handed sleepers and a right-handed zipper for left-handed sleepers, but this is not a rule. If you are traveling in a pair, keep in mind that two sleeping bags with opposite zippers can be joined together. Even if they are different lengths, just expect the longer one to be too long on top.

In the Viking sleeping bag line you can also combine different models together. For example Viking 300 170 cm Left zip + Viking 600 195 cm Right zip.

TheWarmeace Viking 600 is 80 cm wide at the shoulders and 50 cm wide at the legs. If the sleeping bag would be too narrow for you, you can reach for the Viking 600 195 cm WIDE or use the Warmpeace Extender 195.

The hood is equipped with a drawstring and can be tightened nicely around the head. Sameso a drawstring around the shoulders. Together the collar and hood prevent unwanted heat transfer. Inside the sleeping bag there is a zipped pocket for small items such as glasses, a cello or a mobile phone.

TheWarmpeace Viking 600 is designed for spring to autumn. It takes up 20 to 35 cm in the compression sleeve. It is a very popular sleeping bag among the general outdoor public. It provides a reasonable ratio between the cost of its purchase and the service it provides to its user.

These temperatures are the result of standardized laboratory tests and are by no means the most important factor when selecting a sleeping bag. Of these, only the limiting temperature is actually of interest and may serve as a guide when comparing the drying capabilities of sleeping bags of the same weight and same condition.

Storage and maintenance of the sleeping bag

The Warmpeace Viking 600sleeping bag comes with two packaging options: storage and compression. If you do not use the sleeping bag, store it in a spacious storage container. It will stay in its natural state of inflation and extend the life of the sleeping bag. The size M compression sleeve has the volume of a 7 litre bottle and features compression straps so you can compress it more easily.

Wash the sleeping bag yourself in an automatic washing machine. Wash it at 30°C, use the wool washing programme and special liquid detergents that are not aggressive to the laundry, do not disturb its structure, wash well during washing and do not crystallise in fine creases. Never clean chemically. After washing, spin dry.

Dry the sleeping bag in an air dryer at a temperature of up to 30°C or horizontally with occasional thorough shaking. Allow several days for the sleeping bag to dry. Detailed instructions can be found on the label inside the sleeping bag.
