The Rab Neutrino 0 °C men's down sleeping bag is a top-of-the-line summer sleeping bag filled with premium European goose down featuring a fill power of 800 FP and Grangers water-repellent treatment. The outer fabric is Pertex® Quantum, and the comfort temperature is 0 °C. Extended length for people up to 200 cm tall. Weight: 760 g.
The Rab Neutrino 0 °C down sleeping bag is a summer model from the new line of popular Rab Neutrino down sleeping bags.
The main innovation is the use of the revolutionary L.O.F.T 3D™ chamber design. These are offset, spiral-shaped baffles that prevent down shift and maximize heat retention. At the same time, they enable top-notch insulation performance while reducing the sleeping bag’s bulk and weight.
The longitudinal baffles effectively trap heat around the body. The side baffles eliminate cold spots and ensure that you won’t be lying on a seam when sleeping on your side.
The Rab Neutrino 0 °C features a drawstring hood that fits snugly around the head and a down collar that wraps comfortably around the neck. It features a high-quality two-way YKK zipper with an anti-snag tab and a collar that prevents heat loss.
The sleeping bag has a "wide" mummy shape with an anatomically contoured "foot box." Its generous cut ensures greater comfort while sleeping, with plenty of room for your feet to move.
Rabu has opted for the proven Pertex® Quantum in two strategically placed weights and deniers. The more durable 20D Pertex® Quantum 38 g/m² (black) is used on the bottom and sides of the sleeping bag—in short, in areas that come into contact with the sleeping pad. The lighter 10D Pertex® Quantum 26 g/m² (yellow) is used on the top and increases the loft of the down, packability, and at the same time reduces the total weight of the Rab Neutrino 0 °C. It weighs a mere 760 grams (± 5 g).
A combination that makes sense and works. As is typical for Rab, it features a fluorocarbon-free DWR water-repellent finish. In the same vein, the sleeping bag’s lining is made of recycled 20D nylon, 38 g/m².
And finally, the most important thing. The Rab Neutrino 0 °C is filled with top-quality European goose down with a fill power of 800 FP. This makes it a summer sleeping bag. Granger’s hydrophobic treatment (fluorocarbon-free, of course) combined with the DWR coating on the outer fabric provides solid water resistance for the entire sleeping bag.
The down is traditionally certified by the R.D.S. All Rab sleeping bags are hand-filled in Derbyshire, UK. Rab also guarantees that its down has never been compressed prior to use, ensuring that it retains its loft and resilience.
The temperature limits according to ISO 23537-2:2022 are: Comfort: +6 °C, Limit: 0 °C, Extreme: -14 °C.
Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt. We are all different, so the temperatures listed should be viewed more as a guide for choosing the right sleeping bag. The standard is based on the parameters of an average man: 25 years old, 173 cm tall, and 73 kg, and an average woman: 25 years old, 160 cm tall, and 60 kg.
The temperatures listed represent a range derived from a series of measurements, spanning from the upper limit at which a person can sleep through the night without waking up to the extreme temperature that determines the minimum temperature at which a person can survive.
