The 180 cm version weighs 760 grams without the cover. The down sleeping bag uses 310 grams of duck down for insulation and reliably insulates down to 0 °C.
The WIDE sleeping bag is 90 cm wide at the shoulders and 60 cm wide at the feet. The circumference is therefore 20 cm larger than the classic sleeping bag.
The sleeping bag is made of lightweight Loft Nylon DWR+, which can repel water up to 1,250 mm water column. This strong and mechanically durable material works successfully with even smaller amounts of down insulation, allowing for ample loft. This part of the sleeping bag is made in China.
Inside the sleeping bag, high quality duck feathers are used, which are sourced from European farms. The feathers are of 90/10 quality, have a filling capacity of 600 cuin and are stored in "H" chambers. The filling of the sleeping bag takes place in Germany under strict standards. The filling can absorb 93 grams of water. The entire sleeping bag allows a RET of 3.7m2 Pa/W-1.
Theinside of the sleeping bag is made of Loft Nylon. The material is pleasant to the touch and allows for fast moisture transport. The black color in the sun helps moisture evaporate faster even in low temperatures.
Thezipper of the sleeping bag is branded Japanese YKK and is backed by a full-length flap with a stiff flap so it doesn't snag. The slider pull is pivoting and allows for fastening from both the inside and outside of the sleeping bag. The zipper is also reversible, so in addition to the traditional unzipping, you can also unzip it from the feet up to possibly vent overheated leg room.
The extended version of the Viking 300 WIDE is only available with a zipper on the left hand side. You can combine it with any Warmpeace Viking sleeping bag with a right zipper. And it will work even if they are different lengths, just expect the longer one to overhang the top.
The hood with elastic drawstring goes nicely around the head. This will prevent unwanted heat leaks. Although it is a down jacket, it is designed for the summer season. In the compression sleeve it takes up only Ø 14 × 33 cm.
It finds its place in a backpack, on bike racks, in motorcycle panniers or in a boat bag. It does not bother with excessive volume, weight or night heat.
These temperatures are the result of standardised laboratory tests and are far from being the most important factor when choosing a sleeping bag. In fact, only the limit temperature is of interest and can serve as a guide when comparing the drying capabilities of sleeping bags of the same class and age.

The Warmpeace Viking 300sleeping bag comes with two covers: a storage cover and a compression cover. When not in use, store the sleeping bag in the spacious storage pack. The down filling will be in its natural fluffy state and you will extend the life of the sleeping bag. The size XS compression pack has the volume of a 3-litre bottle and features compression straps so you can compress it even further.
You canwash the sleeping bag yourself in an automatic washing machine. Wash it at 30 °C, use the wool programme and special liquid detergents that are not aggressive to the down, do not disturb its structure, wash out well when soaking and do not crystallise in the fine folds of the filling. Never clean chemically. After washing, spin properly.
Dry the sleeping bag in a tumble dryer with warm air up to 30 °C or horizontally, shaking it occasionally and thoroughly. Allow several days for the sleeping bag to dry. Detailed instructions can be found on the label inside the sleeping bag.
