When conditions are mixed and activity levels fluctuate, this lightweight jacket with synthetic insulation provides the perfect balance of warmth and breathability.

The jacket is filled with premium PrimaLoft® Gold Active+ insulation in a dual-weight construction. It helps regulate temperature in areas where people sweat more. This makes it a versatile jacket that can be used as a technical outer layer on fast summer hikes or as a warm and durable mid-layer in cooler conditions.

The top layer of the jacket is 20D Pertex® Quantum Air with a DWR coating, also used in high-end sleeping bags. Although it has no membrane, the jacket can withstand drizzle or light snowfall. More importantly, it deflects approximately 80% of the wind.

Rab Xenair Alpine Light Jacket now features a new, even more breathable lining. It expertly handles changes in energy and temperature without having to remove layers.

Equipped for upward movement, the jacket has sophisticated sleeve articulation for ascents and a snug-fitting hood that fits seamlessly under a helmet. Three zippered pockets provide storage for a map or snack, while one internal chest pocket doubles as a bag to pack the jacket into. Plus, you can strap this mini pack on, like a backpack.

The elasticated sleeve cuffs are easy to combine with gloves. The back hem of the jacket bottom is equipped with a drawstring.
