Cirrus HL™ synthetic insulation is more durable and warmer than the original insulation, and, most importantly, as a 100% recycled material, it has a lower environmental impact. Depending on the size, up to 10 plastic bottles are used to manufacture one product with Cirrus HL™ insulation. The Rab Cirrus Skirt also offers all the advantages of synthetic insulation over down.

It dries quickly and is generally less demanding in terms of moisture and dirt maintenance. With synthetics, you don't have to worry about sweating or getting wet. It will work either way. The skirt is suitable for all winter activities where you need to insulate the lower part of your body. It is ideal for ski touring, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, or winter bivouacking. Protection from wind and moisture is provided by the outer recycled 30D Pertex Quantum fabric with DWR finish, complemented by stretch panels at the waist and sides for greater comfort.

The inner fabric is made of recycled 20D nylon. Compared to the previous model, the Rab Cirrus Skirt no longer has a back pocket, but two side pockets have been added. The fastening system around the waist has also changed, with only one snap fastener visible from the outside, the second being cleverly hidden inside between two strips of Velcro. The double YKK zipper along the entire front length of the skirt remains unchanged. The skirt can be packed into the included bag.
