Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 Jacket

The successor to the popular Rab Downpour Plus jacket. Its basic concept is no different from its predecessor. It is a reliable, versatile, waterproof jacket that can be used both in the city and for multi-day treks at higher altitudes.

The Downpour Plus 2.0 is the perfect partner for classic hiking. It is neither ultra light nor extremely durable, it is simply a versatile and reliable ja cket at an affordable price.

Along with the concept, the material of which the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 is made remains the same. This is the proven two-and-a-half-layer Pertex Shield® membranewith a water column of 20,000 mm, breathability of 20,000 g/m2 in 24 hours and taped seams. For the 2021 season, however, the upper fabric is made from recycled 40D polyamide, and so the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 is also included among the products whose production focuses on maximising the sustainability philosophy.

Compared to the Downpour Plus, the Downpour Plus 2.0 also retains all of its basic features. These include two large side pockets perched high enough to be used with a waist belt, an adjustable hood with a visor compatible for use with a helmet, double-sided hem drawcords, Velcro cuff closures and underarm ventilation to increase the jacket's breathability. It's worth mentioning that all zippers are YKK Aquaguard waterproof zippers.

Compared to the previous model, the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 has undergone a minor change in the hood adjustment. The drawcord at the peak remains the same, but the drawcord at the neck has changed, with the release clips hidden inside the jacket, making it easier to use, especially when wearing gloves.

Another change is the addition of fleece strips at the end of the zip and inside the hood to protect the chin and neck. The last change is the extension of the velcro at the loop to fix the rolled-up hood. You'll especially appreciate the loop when you don't use the hood, but don't want it blowing freely in the wind.

At 375 grams, the Rab Downpour Plus 2.0 packs down into a relatively small package.
